Come be a speaker in the
Archdiocese’s Speaker Program -
make a positive difference in
thousands of kids' lives !

The Respect Life Education Office of the Archdiocese of Boston is seeking College Students and Young Adults to provide high quality, multi-media presentations to middle and high school students about life, love, relationships, sexuality and chastity. Candidates must be practicing Catholics who uphold all the teachings of the Magisterium. All presentation materials are provided. Once training and auditions are completed, a person becomes certified to be a volunteer speaker for the Archdiocese program. Teams of two, preferably male and female, receive assignments for presentations in their region of the Archdiocese from October to April, averaging 1-2 talks/month.  The presentations are 90-minutes each and include current information and statistics, powerpoint slides and interactive exercises to engage students. DVD films on each topic are also shown to enhance learning.
We have found “Youth speaking to Youth” is the most effective way of teaching the value and dignity of life, along with how their choices regarding sexual activity affect their physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being.
